Prep Guide

By SEN Bridal Hairstylist — everything your bride needs to know before her wedding morning.

Introduction

Your Hair Starts
Before the Morning

Your wedding hair doesn't begin on the day — it begins in the days leading up to it. After working with countless brides, I've seen first-hand that the biggest hair issues don't come from the styling itself — they come from incorrect preparation.

This guide is designed to make sure your hair holds beautifully throughout, feels effortless and comfortable, and looks exactly how you envisioned.

The difference between "I loved my hair" and "it didn't last" is all in the prep.

Real Bride Mistakes

These are the most common mistakes I see on wedding mornings — and exactly how to avoid them.

"I put deep conditioning treatment in my hair the night before…"
↳ Hair becomes too soft, limp and styles won't hold properly
Fix:Keep hair clean and use a light conditioner on mid-length to ends
"I straightened it the night before…"
↳ Hair loses natural texture needed for styling and is already set with high heat
Fix:Leave your hair in its natural state
"I didn't prepare my extensions…"
↳ Styling is delayed and results are affected
Fix:Prep extensions in advance
"I used too much product beforehand…"
↳ Hair becomes heavy, product builds up and is difficult to style
Fix:Keep your hair as clean and natural as possible
